KNYSNA NEWS FLASH - Chick Ramsay, MC and organiser of this year's Knysna Speed Festival, sang the praises of all organisers, sponsors, volunteers as well as competitors at the official opening of the Knysna Speed Festival.
Klaus Degener, organiser of the Knysna Kart Grand Prix which kicked off the Speed Festival on Friday, May 11 at Thesen Island, explained that the Kart Grand Prix had no official sponsor, and relied heavily on the generosity of local businesses.
Besides thanking the volunteers and sponsors, he expressed his gratitude to the residents of Thesen Islands for putting up with the noise as well as SANParks who allowed the karts to race around its carpark.
