Attempted break-in at speaker's home
13:00 (GMT+2), Fri, 11 May 2012
KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna speaker, Richard Dawson, fell prey to the apparent increase in criminal activity in the Greater Knysna Area when criminals attempted to break into his Knysna home in the early hours of yesterday, Thursday, May, 10.

A visibly shaken Dawson explained that Dr Colin Lang, who shares the home with him, had heard a noise. Thinking it was Dawson, he called out asking what he was doing downstairs.

"When Colin asked what I was doing downstairs, I immediately realised that there were people trying to break into the house," explained Dawson,

"I ran downstairs and was shocked to see that the robbers were forcing the door open with a crowbar," said a shocked Dawson. On seeing this, Dawson screamed and shouted, causing the perpetrators to flee.
