To receive their Hike Leader Interest Badge, the Knysna Sea Scouts walked about 60km from the Eastern side of Colesberg to the Kammanassie Mountains from July 11 to 17. According to Liam Rissik, patrol leader of the Knysna Sea Scouts, they climbed 28 farm fences, ascended cliff-like mountains, covering about 60km of rough terrain. The weather was extremely cold with wind and rain, but everyone came out alive. "We all had a thoroughly great time and look forward to the next one. Even two days after the big hike I could still feel the after-effects of sleeping on hard solid ground."
