Celebrating 125 years in timber
One of the oldest family-run timber businesses in South Africa, Geo Parkes & Sons of Knysna, is celebrating 125 years in business this month, February 2017. During the past week, various functions were held to celebrate the family's history and huge contribution to Knysna. Founded in 1892 by George Parkes, the company has been managed by members of the same family for four generations.
