Knysna Delville Wood soldiers remembered
The Battle of Delville Wood was a major event during South Africa's participation in the World War I. At the commencement of the battle on July 14, 1916, the 1st SA Infantry Brigade comprised 21 officers and 3 032 men; at its conclusion 29 offices and 750 men answered the roll call.
