Summing up the pride in the SA Navy, chaplain of the Navy Joseph Mara said that success did not come without work. In a very moving opening speech and opening prayer at the Navy parade in Knysna's Main Street, at Memorial Square on July 8, Mara said the Navy faced challenges, but with God on their side. “One day we want God to say, 'Well done, good and faithful son' to our officers,” said Mara. As this parade on the Friday is also when the Navy exercises its Right of Entry into Knysna. The town's executive mayor, Georlene Wolmarans, welcomed them and also did her official inspection.
