The Canoe Polo SA Championship took place recently in Gauteng at Homestead Lake. Taking part were teams from Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal and Western Cape. Teams comprising u/15, u/21 and open were all fighting for top position in their categories. Knysna produced a combined u/15 team from Knysna Primary and Montessori schools. A combined u/21 team consisted of players from Cape Town, Knysna (Montessori) and George (York High School). There were also two open-category teams facing the other stronger provinces.
