Plettenberg Bay could be home to a new African penguin breeding colony as organisations work hard behind the scenes to boost this endangered species. One of the first steps will be a penguin release as part of World Oceans Day celebrations this week. The five penguins due for release had washed up along the Plettenberg Bay coast over the past few months and had been nursed back to health at the Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
