Knysna
The Knysna Methodist Outreach runs two soup kitchens in Knysna, one in the centre of town and one in Hornlee providing nearly 2500 meals a month. The work is done by a team of loyal caring volunteers who are members of the community and shun publicity. We can learn from each of them. The meals served by the two projects, Peace Cottage (behind the Methodist Church in Knysna ) and Hornlee, ( at the Hornlee Methodist Church ) increased from 2080 meals to 2466 meals per month over the past year indicating a trend of need and hunger in Knysna.
