KNYSNA NEWS - Protesters have blocked the N2 at Nekkies in Knysna.
The group gathered on the highway at about 16:15 today and blockaded the road with burning tyres.
They also threw stones at passing vehicles.
Members of the local police responded to the scene.
Public order police members are also on the scene.
The road is still closed and motorists are urged to be patient while emergency services personnel attend to the situation.
