Stoomtrein-ingenieur leef sy droom
Die jare-lange droom van ’n Pietermaritzburg stoomtrein-ingenieur om die Outeniqua Choo Tjoe te ry, het op ’n vreemde dog prettige wyse verlede week tot vervulling gekom. As skoolseun het Andries Keyser daarna gesmag om Knysna te besoek – spesifiek weens sy massiewe passie vir stoomtreine – en wou hy met alle graagte op dié wêreldbekende Choo-Tjoe ry. Hierdie voorliefde van Keyser het toe in ’n volwaardige beroep ontaard, en vandag bou en herstel die 30-jarige Keyser nie net “volgroeide” stoomtreine nie, maar miniatuur weergawes ook.
